M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />The applicant has contacted Liberty <br />House, Penney's, Robinson's, and <br />they are reluctant to commit them- <br />selves because of the situation <br />involved and will wait and see what <br />the City Council will do before <br />committing themselves. Mr. Di Manto <br />stipulated that if their site is <br />chosen for the regional center, the <br />tenants will locate there, otherwise <br />they will move over to the Stoneson <br />site. It was his feeling that the <br />City Council should make the decision <br />for the location of the regional <br />center. <br />Commissioner Hirst wished to know <br />whether this rezoning included land <br />immediately north of the Arroyo <br />Mocho. Mr. Di Manto replied no. <br />Commissioner Pereira stated that the <br />Commission still has not had a bona <br />fide presentation made to them for <br />their evaluation. He is reluctant <br />to lend his approval under these <br />circumstances. The second problem <br />the Commission is faced with is the <br />question of allowing Livingston & <br />Blayney to conduct a study to deter- <br />mine which of the two locations would <br />be the most appropriate. Since <br />material submitted by both Stoneson <br />and previously, Homart, indicated <br />their individual sites to be the <br />best one for a regional center, it <br />then comes down to a matter of <br />economics and planning. <br />Commissioner Pereira also stated <br />that the Willow West property supplie <br />a good chunk of the City's industrial <br />lands.
