4y~~s"N~°ti CITY of PLEASANTON
~~; .
.~
~~° Planning Commission
~~.M^O t
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCt@ : August 8, 1972
Time : 8:00 P.M.
PIGC@: Pleasanton Justice Court
Mr. Gunn also remarked that this new
development was different from the
map displayed in the Stoneson sales
office. Because of this and because
the homeowners had not had the oppor-
tunity yet to sit down and review
this new proposal with its accompany-
ing changes with the developer,
Mr. Gunn requested that this appli-
cation be held in abeyance until
the meeting had taken place.
Mr. Robert Lee, 4938 Drywood Street
spoke next. He indicated that he
felt the regional center is out-
standing and expressed the hope that
construction begin as soon as
possible. He also wished to know
whether or not some condition could
be applied to this proposal giving
a deadline when construction must
begin. Mr. Lee also spoke of the
changes that have occurred from the
original map as shown in the Stone-
son sales office. He further
spoke of the poor traffic conditions.
He brought up the fact that Dublin
already has a shopping center, which
will be competing with the one here,
which might also add to the traffic
conditions. In addition, Mr. Lee
spoke of the homeowners association
giving approval for the townhouse
project after the developer promised
to give them a pool and cabana club.
Next Mr. Lee talked about the remark
from Mr. Burkhardt on quality con-
struction. Mr. Lee cited an example
where he had had problem with the
sidewalk in front of his home and
inferred that perhaps quality
construction from Stoneson is a matte
for discussion. He further indi-
cated that he had letters in his
possession to substantiate his
remarks. Some discussion followed
-7-
