He <br />referred to remarks regarding experts <br />submitting their views. He clarified <br />that Stoneson has consulted the <br />experts and their remarks have been <br />submitted to the City for their re- <br />view. Regarding the issue of the <br />Division of Highways, MacKay & Somps, <br />City staff, etc., has been in very <br />close touch and the City has retained <br />the firm of MacKay & Somps as their <br />consulting engineers to lay out the <br />property for the interchange. <br />Mr. Fairfield then talked about the <br />multiples, that they are very com- <br />plementary to a regional shopping <br />center. In terms of the school, the <br />population that will be generated <br />will be considerably less than would <br />be present in a single-family develo <br />ment. All of the studies suggested b <br />Mr. Mariani have been done. The iss <br />of the General Plan amendment was <br />discussed with the Director of <br />Community Development and all <br />elements of the General Plan have <br />been met in this instance. Regardin <br />the Calaveras Fault, the most <br />reputable firm in this field, Crosby <br />& Associates, has given the Stoneson <br />site a "clean bill of health." <br />Mr. Mariani suggested to the Com- <br />mission that on the basis of the <br />testimony and information presented <br />that evening, in order to afford <br />Willow West Properties the same <br />opportunity to present their positi <br />-11- <br />
