^°,'.,"i CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCte : August 22, 1972
Time : 8:1o P.M.
PIGCB; Pleasanton Justice Court
MATTERS FO R
INFORMATION
OF COMMISSION
MATTERS INITIATED
BY COMMISSION
MEMBERS
Secretary Castro reviewed with the
Commission the remaining dates of
Planning Commission meetings to the
end of 1972.
,They will be September 12, and 26.
October 3 and 17, November 14 and
28 and December 12. The last meeting
'in December will be cancelled.
!Secretary Castro told the Commission
;that he has asked the City Attorney
to offer direction as to how the
smatter of the sign violations by
Peter Talarico and the new barber-
shop in the Lucky Center are to be
handled.
Commissioner Pereira conceded that
while it is extremely important that
the Commission is sensitive to the
needs of the community, in this
.particular case, it is obvious that
the Ordinance is being violated and
unnecessarily so, as a reasonable
solution can be reached with the
cooperation of Mr. Talarico.
The Commission indicated that these
matters should be pursued and if
necessary, settled by the courts.
Commissioner Pons inquired about a
Dr. Meyers residing in the Mackay
Patio Development, who is building a
recreation room without a building
permit and against ordinance require-
ments for garage space.
Secretary Castro and Chief Building
Inspector Dobbins went out to the
premises and talked to the gentleman'
wife and explained the situation to
her. A Stop Work order was issued
for the construction.
-6-
