If this is <br />approved by the Fire Chief, it would <br />be acceptab le . <br />Chairman Pons then directed the meeti <br />to discussion on the exterior of the <br />property . <br />In this regard, Secretary Castro aske <br />if it is still the policy to require <br />5-gal. shrubs and 15-gal. trees. The <br />reply was yes. Some discussion ensue . <br />Mr. Levy, attorney for the project, <br />spoke to the landscaping situation. <br />He stated that under FHA funding, if, <br />because of inclement weather, land- <br />scaping is not completed before final ng <br />of the building, funds are withheld <br />from the contractor one and one-half <br />to two times the estimated cost of <br />completing the work, and these funds <br />will not be released until the land- <br />scaping is completed. <br />Mr. Hansen further explained that the <br />project is anticipated to be built <br />in sections. These units are to be <br />constructed one at a time, landscapin <br />completed for that unit and occupancy <br />requested from the City for each unit <br />Commissioner Pereira then requested <br />an estimated development schedule, <br />which Mr. Hansen said he would do. <br />-21- <br />
