He is <br />anxious to accomplish some sort of <br />improvements to his property and can- <br />not do so as long as the nonconformin< <br />zoning exists on his land. <br />The Public Hearing was then closed. <br />Commissioner Pereira asked Secretary <br />Castro what plans Mr. Wortham had for <br />his property. The answer was that in <br />contacting the gentleman, he indicates <br />he was not interested in attending the <br />meeting since he has no immediate <br />development plans. <br />Chairman Pons wished to set the reco <br />straight. He disagrees with the <br />proposed rezoning because of the <br />increased traffic it will generate, <br />if the motel were upgraded. <br />Discussion followed. The Public <br />Hearing was then closed. <br />A resolution was offered by Commissio er <br />Pereira, seconded by Commissioner <br />McLain, that RZ-72-8 be approved as <br />recommended by staff.
