Frank stated that Pleasanton is <br />n important location point for them. <br />his request made by Citizens is the <br />my branch granted for a savings and <br />oan institution during 1971. He <br />eiterated that the Savings and Loan <br />ommissioner would not allow them to <br />ocate in the C.B.D. because of two <br />easons: (1) undue injury. (2) <br />tate Commissioner has to assure pub l: <br />onvenience and advantage has to be <br />erved, and this will not happen with <br />wo savings and loan offices downtown <br />e felt the advantages of them in town <br />ould be (1) because of their size, <br />hey are always in the loan market. <br />resident of this City, Mr. Foster, <br />ill be Manager of the office. The <br />nterest rates with two savings and <br />oan institutions in town would be <br />over due to competition. They will <br />e available for industrial develop- <br />ent, commercial mortgage loans. HomE <br />mprovement loans. In addition, they <br />ffer free income tax preparation and <br />enior citizens tax refund. <br />He stated that Citizens will attempt <br />to become part of the community in wh c <br />they are hoping to locate. He indica e <br />also that Citizens are prepared to <br />contribute to a study of the downtown <br />and if the C.B.D. does become dynamic <br />they would be happy to go there.
