Secre- <br />tary Castro's recommendation was for <br />approval subject to certain condition <br />Secretary Castro did voice concern fo: <br />the traffic circulation as it present: <br />exists which is through Mission Drive <br />and Junipero Street. Relief will be <br />obtained when the extensions of Miradc <br />and Pico are realized but there is no <br />visible solution at this time. <br />~It was also made clear that the Schoo: <br />,District will provide a K-5 school on <br />this site in addition to the adminis- <br />trative offices. <br />Present to speak for this application <br />were Mr. Rudy Gatti, Superintendent <br />of the Pleasanton School District, <br />Mr. Bill Borg and Mr. Ron Martine of <br />Corwin Booth & Associates, architects <br />Mr. Gatti advised the Commission that <br />Ithe school building is not scheduled <br />for construction for at least another <br />five years. Hopefully, they can have <br />their administrative offices in oper- <br />ation by this time next year. <br />Mr. Gatti then indicated that there <br />will be 26 employees but that no <br />warehouse facilities are anticipated. <br />Personnel, including teacher inter- <br />viewing will be conducted on the site <br />Next Mr. Ron Martine from the archi- <br />tect's office spoke. He presented <br />renderings and explained the location <br />of the buildings and the parking, whi~ <br />they designed to be compatible with <br />the natural environment of the site <br />and to be located around the three <br />oak trees which they plan to retain. <br />Y <br />~r <br />-8- <br />
