4y$~s"N~°y CITY of PLEASA TdN
N
~:~ o
.~.;o~-~ Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCte : November 28 , 19 72
Time : 8:0o P.M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
xplaining that a staff meeting had
een held on November 20, at which
ime considerable discussion occurred.
onsiderable discussion ensued on
tem No. 1 as noted on the report.
'he consensus of opinion was that if
onies are available, that the archi-
ect and the Housing Authority give
onsideration to replacing the volley
all courts with tennis courts.
egarding proper separation between
ineyard Avenue and the playground
rea, it was decided that the archi-
ect would present a plan incorpor-
ting this detail.
egarding Item No . 2 , it was the
ommission's contention that all the
ld buildings with the exception of
he Women's Clubhouse, was to be
emoved. Mr. Bowling explained that
he old building presently serves
s the Housing Authority administra-
ive offices, and at the present time
hey have no plans to relocate their
ffices. It was concluded that the
uilding be allowed to remain as
emporary office facilities for the
ousing Authority and for use by the
arks and Recreation Department for
ertain programs, until January 1,
974. After that. time, if other
uitable quarters cannot be obtained
y the Housing Authority, the Com-
ission allowed them the option to
equest renewal.
t should be explained that at the
ime of the staff meeting, Mr. Patton
f the Parks and Recreation Depart-
ent did bring up the possibility of
llowing his department to utilize
he old building for his senior citi-
en recreation coordinator in facili-
ting his program planning.
-3-
