Mr. Brians indicated about <br />4-5 a week. <br />Mr. Brians further stated that the <br />FAA would not back him in his pattern <br />entry altitude. Livermore Airport <br />utilizes a 1000 ft. level, whereas <br />the national standard is about 800 <br />ft. Normal aircraft coming west/east <br />for landing at the airport start down <br />at about 1400 ft., and reach 1000 ft. <br />in the downward leg. <br />Livermore Airport will not accept <br />any aircraft larger than a F-27, <br />which is the aircraft Hughes Air <br />West flies. <br />This discussion concluded with the <br />Commissioners again commending the <br />two gentlemen for their remarks, par- <br />ticularly Mr. Schoendienst for his <br />efforts . <br />Commissioner Pereira then wished for <br />Mr. Brians to take back to the City <br />of Livermore the feeling of the <br />Planning Commission that the airport, <br />being a vital part of the Amador- <br />Livermore Valley, and lying between <br />the two cities of Pleasanton and <br />Livermore, should be a matter for <br />both jurisdictions to consider and <br />work jointly in resolving problems <br />affecting both cities. <br />Mr. Schoendienst then volunteered his! <br />services in any way possible. <br />A motion was then offered by <br />Commissioner McLain, seconded by <br />Commissioner Pereira and carried, <br />-5- <br />
