~" CITY of PLEASANTON <br />~ Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />~OtB = March 13, 1973 <br />Time : 9: oo P.M. <br />P~Q Ce: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />REFERRALS FROM <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY <br />Continued to <br />March 27, 1973 <br />MATTERS FOR INFOR- <br />MATION OF COMMISSI <br />The staff directed the Commissioners' atte <br />lion to the material given them that <br />evening from the City Attorney on regulati <br />of State and Federal jurisdictions governi <br />airports. <br />Application of Santa Clara Sand & Gravel <br />Compa ny fora permit to process and remove <br />approximately 5,200,000 cubic yards of <br />material over a 15-year period from a site <br />located to the west of Ca laveras Road, <br />approximately one mile south of Scott's <br />Corner, near Sunol, in Washington and Plea <br />Townships, Alameda County. <br />To date, the staff has received no response <br />to the telephone request made to the County <br />regarding an environmental impact statement <br />The County had indicated that one would be <br />submitted, but nothing has been received in <br />this office. <br />The Commission accepted staff's suggestion <br />and passed a motion instructing the staff <br />to write a letter to the County requesting <br />that they delay the hearing on this case, <br />until all interested parties have had an <br />opportunity to research the environmental <br />impact report. <br />Commissioner Pereira indicated that he like <br />the Homeowner's Brochure, which had been <br />passed out to them that evening, for review <br />Secretary Castro also showed them a copy of <br />a card, which will be updated, and taped <br />inside the kitchen cupboard door of each ne <br />home, advising them of certain home project <br />which would require a permits, such as, <br />installing sprinkler systems, constructing <br />patio covers and decks, etc. <br />The Commissioners offered a few suggestions <br />ffor improving the brochure. <br />Motion: j IX <br />Seconded : ~ ~ ~X <br />Ayes : X X IX <br />Noes: <br />Absent: ~X ~ <br />Abstain: <br />.ton ~ <br />~ i <br />i i j <br />'~ <br /> <br />-8- <br />
