Kuhnke to a decision
COMMISSION'S REVIEW of the Department of Community Development
Continued to denying him permission to conduct a business
March 27, 1973 from his home at 7920 Cherrywood Court,
Plea santon.
The applicant was present and although this
item was not scheduled under a public heari
he was allowed to state his position.
He indicated that he was hoping that he coul
build the business up so that it would be hi
prime source of income. For the present tim
he was hoping to just work at it part-time.
He did not anticipate increased traffic
problems, there would be no signing visible
at his home, and the keys would be kept in
a case in his car. The business he is
going into concerns duplication of customers
house and car keys, and other important keys
for which an annual fee would be charged. I
the event the key is misplaced or lost, he
would deliver the duplicate to the customer.
The Commissioners were a little skeptical
as to the possibilities of succeeding in thi
type of endeavor, feeling that if he did
make a success of it, he would have to move
into quarters other than his home to accommo
date the large number of keys. Discussion
followed. The Commissioners were undecided
as to whether the business, if it flourishes
would be compatible from a residence.
Chairman Pons then advised the staff that
they should notify surrounding property owne
of Mr. Kuhnke's intentions and reschedule
this matter for the next meeting on March 27
1973-74 Budget - Department of Community
Development.
Secretary Castro advised the Commission that
he did not get together with Commissioners
Garrigan and Wood as anticipated,to discuss
this matter, but hoped to do so before the
-6-
