CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />~cfe : April 17, 1973 <br />Time : 8: os P.M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />MATTERS FOR <br />INFORMATION OF THE <br />COMMISSION <br />The Zoning Enforcement Officer, in <br />his inspections throughout the City, <br />has noticed that there are many <br />types of advertisement being utilize <br />by shops, which do not fall specifi- <br />cally into specific identification <br />of the store itself. These include <br />signs such as, "Open", "No food or <br />drinks allowed on premises, please," <br />professional membership decals and <br />credit decals, such as Master Charge <br />and/or BankAmericard," and signs <br />which are not attached to the <br />window but hang by a chain or card <br />from the interior of the shop adja- <br />cent to the window. <br />The Zoning Enforcement Officer re- <br />quested clarification of the <br />Commission regarding these identifi- <br />cations. <br />The Commissioners felt that these <br />methods of identification are permis <br />sible, but that the size of the cre- <br />dit decals employed by BankAmericard <br />and/or Master Charge or other credit <br />card identifications be kept to a <br />size no larger than 6-8 sq. in. <br />The Commissioners felt that followin <br />an agenda format similar to that <br />utilized by City Council, would <br />afford the public with a firm set <br />of rules to follow when attending, <br />and especially, when addressing the <br />Planning Commission. <br />The revised format was presented by <br />Commissioner McLain, who also <br />-3- <br />The next matter discussed was a chan <br />in the agenda format for the Plannin <br />Commission . <br />
