It was his
recollection that a licensed designer cannot
do work on any structures other than for
residences (single family and multiple).
Mr. O'Hearn indicated that his outfit works
with a structural engineer. Chairman Pereir
stated that he was not certain the Commissio
could rule on this submittal under those
circumstances, since he did not note on the
drawings any signature by a structural engi-
neer; or see a soils report.
Some discussion followed and Mr. Scheidig
stated that in the design review stage, it
is not required that structural drawings
need to be presented. This phase is handled
through the Building Division.
Considerable discussion followed on the
legality of reviewing the design plans.
Acting Chairman Pereira also wondered, with
the expansive nature of the soil in the area
where this structure is to occur, what would
happen if the design as presented is not
workable structurally.
The applicant's representative spoke next.
He had questions regarding the type of
burglar alarm system to be provided.
~\
li I I I
j' ~` ~
1'
~ I
Commissioner McLain had a question concerni
-4-
