'~ CIT'Y of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUT~$ ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Q Ot8 Z August 8, 1973 <br />Time' s:os P.M. <br />PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Several complaints of noise, dust and unsigh <br />liness of the area, in general, have been <br />registered with the City, and Mr. Perry, in <br />his remarks, reiterated the displeasure the <br />homeowners in the immediate area were exper- <br />iencing with the situation. <br />Mr. Perry further related that on August 7, <br />a forklift knocked the lines and left them. <br />with no power. Several days earlier, a fire <br />started there and he had to put it out. <br />Photographs of the yard were presented to <br />the Commission for their review. <br />The Commissioners indicated they were under <br />the impression the matter had been settled <br />after a determination on the use of the pre <br />was made by the City Attorney. Chairman <br />Pereira further indicated that he was under <br />the impression that the City was going to <br />take steps to require that the dilapidated <br />buildings on-site were .removed. <br />Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, stated- that the <br />City is aware of the problem existing but <br />that the normal process of law is a slow one <br />At the present time, the matter is before th <br />District Attorney for criminal violation. <br />Mr. Scheidig told the Commission he intended <br />to ask Council to allow him to seek a tempor <br />restraining order and take steps to obtain <br />a permanent injunction. <br />Mr. Scheidig further advised the Commission <br />that the property belongs to Southern <br />Pacific Railroad who has a master lease with', <br />a Mr. James Quick, who has sub-let the area <br />to Geremia Pools. <br />-2- <br />ry <br />,, <br />~~ i <br />,' <br />Y <br />I <br />~ I <br />__ '_ _;_ <br />
