M.
PIQCe; Pleasanton Recreation Center
MATTERS FOR INFORMA-
TION OF THE COMMISSION
The Commissioners were reminded of the joint
Livermore/Pleasanton Planning Commission
meeting on October 9, at the Pleasanton
Hotel.
A letter signed by Mr. Jim Trimingham, Co-
chairman of the Advisory Committee to the
General Plan was presented to the Commission
for their review and recommendation. This
letter indicated the Committee's feeling
regarding the stance taken by the LAFC re-
garding spheres of influence of the various '~
jurisdictions within the Valley. Pleasanton
members on the General Plan Advisory Board
Ildid not feel the recommendations would be
lin the best interest of Pleasanton and so
'advised the City Council of their position.
In addition, in that letter, they suggested
a new boundary line, which would be a common
one between Pleasanton and Livermore.
The Planning Commission was also given the
history behind this recommendation being
made by LAFC which concerns basically the
division of jurisdiction between schools and
park districts.
Secretary Castro requested that the Commissi~
take a position on this matter.
A motion was adopted by all present endorsin
the position taken by the Advisory Committee
to the General Plan and also recommended
that the new common boundary as noted in the
letter of August 29, 1973, be adopted.
This recommendation will be forwarded to
City Council.
-8-
~~\\\
,~~~~~
Motion: X
Seconded: X
Ayes: IX XI,X
Noes:
Absent : ~ I iX I
Abstain: ~ ~
I ~ ~
,S i I
