M. <br />PIQCe; Pleasanton Recreation Center <br />MATTERS FOR INFORMA- <br />TION OF THE COMMISSION <br />The Commissioners were reminded of the joint <br />Livermore/Pleasanton Planning Commission <br />meeting on October 9, at the Pleasanton <br />Hotel. <br />A letter signed by Mr. Jim Trimingham, Co- <br />chairman of the Advisory Committee to the <br />General Plan was presented to the Commission <br />for their review and recommendation. This <br />letter indicated the Committee's feeling <br />regarding the stance taken by the LAFC re- <br />garding spheres of influence of the various '~ <br />jurisdictions within the Valley. Pleasanton <br />members on the General Plan Advisory Board <br />Ildid not feel the recommendations would be <br />lin the best interest of Pleasanton and so <br />'advised the City Council of their position. <br />In addition, in that letter, they suggested <br />a new boundary line, which would be a common <br />one between Pleasanton and Livermore. <br />The Planning Commission was also given the <br />history behind this recommendation being <br />made by LAFC which concerns basically the <br />division of jurisdiction between schools and <br />park districts. <br />Secretary Castro requested that the Commissi~ <br />take a position on this matter. <br />A motion was adopted by all present endorsin <br />the position taken by the Advisory Committee <br />to the General Plan and also recommended <br />that the new common boundary as noted in the <br />letter of August 29, 1973, be adopted. <br />This recommendation will be forwarded to <br />City Council. <br />-8- <br />~~\\\ <br />,~~~~~ <br />Motion: X <br />Seconded: X <br />Ayes: IX XI,X <br />Noes: <br />Absent : ~ I iX I <br />Abstain: ~ ~ <br />I ~ ~ <br />,S i I <br />
