Mr. Dutchover stated that
such an arrangement is being accom-
plished with regard to Hansen Park.
Mission Hill Park
Mr. Dutchover described the park site
which is generally steep. This is a
7~ acre site.
Mr. Dutchover introduced Helaine
Kaplan of Lampman and Associates,
who went into detail regarding the
;park site. Essentially there are
:two areas involved. One area, desig-
nated as the activity park, can be
'developed for a tot lot, which the
,people in the area are very anxious
Ito have. A restroom and parking area
is being provided in this area. The
other area is the steep hill portion
which is designated as the climbing
;and nature part of the site.
It was noted that the Park and Recre-
ation Commission recommended that
the activity park be developed first,
with the nature area left as undevel-
oped open space.
Moller Park
This i.s a 7# acre site bounded by
Foothill Road, Pleasant Hi11 and
Stoneridge Drive . Mr. Dutchover
referred to this as perhaps the best
park site the City has. It is con-
ceived as a passive neighborhood
park; very little grading will be
necessary. It has beautiful stands
of trees and a natural stream with
a manmade bridge. The play equipment
would be scattered throughout the
site using heavy timber play equipmen
r•
~~>;~
jl ;
~r
i
C ~~, ,
IBC
y F ~
I,I ;
-12-
