gV`AS"N~°y CITY of PLEASANT®N <br />,~ .~,. <br />.~ <br />`~ ~~° Planning Commission <br />'~~IMfO f <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />DciB : June 12 , 1974 <br />Time : 8 : 02 P .M . <br />PIaCe: Pleasanton Justice Court <br />Continued. <br />Mr. Joe Madden asked for clarification <br />of these amendments, and the Chairman <br />explained. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />A resolution recommending approval of <br />these amendments was entered and <br />adopted. <br />Application of the Planning Commissi <br />of the City of Pleasanton to change <br />the name of Bernal Avenue between <br />Main Street and First Street, to <br />Abbie Street . <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Director of Public Works/Asst. City <br />Manager Alan Campbell, stated that th <br />name change is one of several such <br />situations, and it was his contention <br />that these street name changes all be <br />done at one time . <br />'Mr. John Bowling, Director of Housing <br />and Community Development, stated tha <br />!the reason this name change came up <br />'was because of the new Citizens Savin <br />and Loan bank going in at the corner <br />of Main and Bernal. Mr. Campbell <br />indicated that he still felt the most <br />expedient manner in which to handle <br />the street name changesis to do them <br />all at one time. Also, all the stree <br />name changes would entail undeveloped <br />land, and it would be preferable to <br />do it at this time before development <br />takes place. <br />A motion was then entered and adopted <br />continuing this item to send all the <br />street name changes before the Com- <br />mission at one time. <br />Motion: <br />Seconded: <br />Ayes <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain <br />s <br />IX <br />-9- <br />
