'° CITY of PLEASANTON
i Planning Commission
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCte : August 19, 1974
Time : 4:40 P.M.
PIOCe; Civic Center Conference Room
criteria was used in determining the
project area (s) . He was under the
impression that they would have less
than the survey area in the project
area. Mr. Bowling indicated that the
project area could be less or equal
to, but not more than the survey
area. He hoped he had not misled
them in any way .
The Commission then considered
selection of the specific project
area.
,The Chairman felt that the key is to
allow some orderly fashion in accom-
plishing this project, without undue
financial burden to taxpayers, and
also to keep local control as much
as possible. Discussion ensued on
funding and acquisition.
he Chairman then indicated the
hree items which must be done by the
ommission at this meeting:
1) Evaluate the redevelopment survey
area.
2) Evaluate the redevelopment
project area (s) .
3) Evaluate the preliminary plan.
irector of Housing and Community
evelopment, John Bowling, clarified
or the Commission's information
hat the survey area had been chosen
y the Redevelopment Agency, and that
he Planning Commission was to re-
iew the survey area and from it,
Noose the project area(s).
nder (1) above, the Commission for
he most part appeared to be satis-
fied with the survey area.
-4-
