CITY of PLEASANTON <br />1`~ Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Dote : September 11, 1974 <br />Time : 8 : 09 P .M. <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />is a moral obligation here. <br />Chairman Pereira cited the situation <br />of the closing off of Neal Street <br />because that area would be served by <br />Pico Avenue. This never materialize <br />and the same situation regarding the <br />opening up of Del Valle Parkway migh <br />happen. He felt that perhaps con- <br />sideration to changing the zoning <br />can be made at the time that the <br />Del Valle Parkway is actually ex- <br />tended through that area. <br />Secretary Harris did advise the <br />Commissioners that there are pro- <br />perty owners right now who are havinc <br />difficulty utilizing their property <br />because of it being zoned in the <br />C-F, rather than the C-S, which has <br />a far broader range of uses . And <br />the use of the trailer park would <br />not be curtailed in the same relation <br />as other properties in the same zone <br />The reason City Council did not en- <br />dorse amending the ordinance to <br />conditionally allow trailer parks <br />in the C-S District, was that they <br />were concerned with proliferation of <br />mobil home parks in the district, <br />which they. did not feel is appro- <br />priate . <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />After some further discussion Com- <br />missioner Wood offered a resolution <br />to approve the rezoning request, <br />seconded by Commissioner McLain. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />Ayes: McLain, Wood. Noes: Carri- <br />gan, Pereira. The resolution did <br />not pass . <br />Secretary Harris then suggested that <br />perhaps a compromise arrangement <br />could be effectuated, that the area <br />-3- <br />
