Administrative Policy <br />City of Pleasanton <br />September 1990 <br /> Page 4 <br /> <br />Flexible Working Hours <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton offers flexible working hours to help meet the goals of the TSM <br />Ordinance. The following guidelines apply: <br /> <br />When considering approval of a proposed work schedule modification, the City <br />will analyze the schedule's effect on productivity, service, workflow, and the <br />City's ability to meet the community's needs. <br />Flexible working hours must be discussed with and approved by the employee's <br />supervisor. <br />The City Manager will then review on a department by department basis flexible <br />working hours and modified work week proposals submitted by employees as <br />approved by their supervisors and department head. <br />A minimum of one-half hour must be scheduled for a lunch break within flexible <br />work hours. <br />Nothing in this policy shall limit the City's authority to establish work schedules. <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> City Attorney <br /> <br />(tadmin.wpl) <br /> <br /> <br />
