4y$ y N N
ABA~~° CITY of PLEASA TD
~~ .~,.
'~~~~` Planning Commission
~ •9 t
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DGte January 8, 1975
Time ; 8:2o P.M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
CONDITIONAL USE Application by Pleasanton Garbage Resolution
PERMIT Service for a conditional use permit Seconded:
UP-74-27, Approved to allow construction of a refuse Ayes:
Res. 1326 transfer station to be located at Noes:
2512 Vineyard Avenue; zoning for the Absent:
property is A (Agricultural as '.Abstain:'
defined by the zoning code of the
County of Alameda) District.
Commissioner Carrigan proposed that
these two applications be reviewed
simultaneously, and a motion was duly ,
entered and adopted accepting this
method of review.
The Public Hearing was opened.
Mr. Bill Hirst, 147 Bernal Avenue,
was present to speak for the appli-
cants . He was in complete agreement
with the reports and respectfully
requested favorable consideration on
both applications.
Regarding the conditional use per- , ~
mit, he indicated that the transfer ~ {
station would probably reduce traffi
~
in the area, because while there
will be a negligible amount of
traffic going east on Vineyard to '
the land fill site on Vasco Road, {
as indicated in the report, some-
thing over two trucks per day would
be traveling that road. It would
seem to him that increase would be
more than offset after the transfer
station is established and operating.
.Secretary Harris discussed Mr.
Hirst's comment and told the Commis-
Sion they should make the findings
that the transfer station will in-
crease traffic somewhat so that the
conditions of approval can be
attached.
-2-
