CITY of PLEASANTON
Planning Commission
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING.
Dote : January 8, 1975
Time: 8:2o P.M.
PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Chairman Wood also noticed that
many cars are being parked on the
streets for long periods of time.
City Attorney Scheidig indicated that
this matter is enforced through the
Motor Vehicle Code.
Commissioner Doherty cited certain
areas where this prob lem exists,
such as Santa Rita Road and Green-
wood, also Mohr Avenue.
Commissioner McLain spoke regarding
the Airport meeting he attended the
Monday prior. He told the Com-
mission that the airport master
plan and land use study is coming
right along.
He stated it was interesting that
the FAA came back with a letter indi-
cating no dump sites within a 10,000
ft. radius of an airport.
Commissioner Doherty then remarked
that he did not know if anything can
be done about this one, but he had
observed that the Fairgrounds roller
skating rink parking lot is rather
hazardous at let-out time, usually
from 10:15 P.M, to about 11:00 P.M.,
due to hot-rodding cars. He won-
dered if there was anything the City
could do about obtaining cooperation
from County Sheriffs Department to
alleviate the situation.
Commissioner Carrigan then demon-
strated on the board a traffic pro-
blem which exists on Santa Rita Road
regarding a stop sign, which sits
out in the middle of the street,
which causes confusion.
