E. ahd B. J. Cowdery - application <br />for a conditional use permit to con- <br />ditional use permit to continue to <br />keep five hens at their residence at <br />2824 Calle Reynoso; zoning for the <br />property is R-1-6500 District. <br />Mr. Harris directed the Commission's <br />attention to a letter from a neighbor <br />of the applicant objecting to thi s <br />application. <br />IThe Public Hearing was .opened. <br />The applicant, Betty Cowdery, was <br />present and acknowledged receipt of <br />the staff report. She stated that <br />the hens had been in her yard for <br />one year and they are not kept in <br />cages, they are their children's pets <br />As no one else wished to speak, the <br />public hearing was closed. <br />A resolution was entered and adopted <br />recommending denial of this applica- <br />tion. It was noted that. it is diffi- <br />cult to deny an ,application when pets <br />are involved, but it was a matter of <br />quantity. <br />Chairman Wood informed the applicant <br />that she had 15 days in which to <br />appeal this decision. <br />Al Be rnard - application for design <br />review approval to construct a one- <br />story masonry building at 4262 Stanle <br />Boulevard.
