"'"'°• CITY of PLEA3ANTON
` Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DCie : June 11, 1975
'~j~g ; 8:00 P.M.
PIaCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
',Swift of the Planning Department.
He outlined the intent of the ordin-
ance and explained that the idea is
to encourage innovative development
and to enable the City to have a cle
idea of what should be developing on
the hillsides.
He further noted some rewording and
typographical changes in the ordin-
ance before being sent to Council.
John Griffin of Morrison Homes was
present and in response to a questi
from Chairman Wood, he stated that
in order to present a land plan it
would cost at least $500.
Mr. Scheidig indicated that the cost
for a hillside plan would probably
be much more - the cost would be a
great factor but development should
be very different.
Jo Harding, 540 E. Angela, was pre-
sent and expressed concern for all
City hillside areas. She asked that
the City spell out minimum property
standards and to assure that land
dedicated to the City be usab le land
for open space rather than just
limited to hikers.
As no one else wished to speak, the
public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Shepherd asked if the
provisions of the ordinance would
protect the permit if the property
is sold; would it be binding on the
second owner. :The City Attorney
replied that the permit would run
with the land, however, if the secon
owner does want to change or amend
the plan he would have to come back
to the City for .approval.
~F
-3-
