CITY of PLEASANTON <br />Planning Commission <br />MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING. <br />Data : June 11, 1975 <br />Time : s:oo P.M. <br />PIGCe; Pleasanton Justice Court <br />With regard to Condition #4, Secre- <br />tary Harris stated that the City had <br />just revised its Design Standards an <br />that the fencepost requirement was <br />mainly for properties adjacent to <br />parks. During the heavy windstorms <br />this past winter many fences were <br />blown down and there was question <br />of liability. <br />Commissioner Butler felt the problem <br />was not the size of the posts but <br />the depth they are set in concrete. <br />Mr. Sooby suggested an alternative <br />solution; to use 4"x4" posts set 3 <br />ft. deep in 12" diameter holes fille <br />with concrete. <br />Commissioner Doherty suggested that <br />the fences used by Morrison Homes be <br />improved and suggested further that <br />a fence ordin ance include provision <br />for improved capping on fences. <br />Regarding Condition #6, the Commis- <br />sion felt that landscaping require- <br />ments should be upheld on private <br />property, not just public and re- <br />tained this condition in the staff <br />report. <br />Condition #11 was amended to read <br />"closed" rather than "offered." <br />With regard to Condition #13, the <br />Commission was in agreement with <br />this modification. <br />A resolution was entered and approve <br />recommending approval of UP-73-14 <br />with all recommendations listed as <br />conditions and with the modification <br />of #4, that the six foot high wooden <br />fences shown on the site plan be con <br />-12- <br />
