4ti~~8A~~°y CITY of PLEASANT~N
~~,
`~~~~` Planning Commission
..9
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DGfe : October 29, 1975
Time : s : oo P.M.
PIQCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
staff would propose that all pro-
perties should be looked at in a
growth management program.
This subject will be further dis-
cussed at a special meeting of the
City Council on November 3, 1975,
and Council is asking for Commission
recommendation. Mr. Harris pointed
out a draft resolution which was
attached for their review. He fur-
ther asked them to strike out all
reference to a 2~ growth rate, and
that the Commission concur with State
growth population figures. He fur-
ther requested that the Commission
re--endorse the tentatively adopted
General Plan map as it pertains to
the ultimate holding capacity of
the planning area. This tentatively
adopted map shows a population of
about 76,000. The 48,700 figure is
still another reduction from that.
The City feels that this is the pro-
per General Plan map representing
the holding capacity for the planning
area and asked that this plan be
reaffirmed and maintained.
The City needs a guide for the
County when they reevaluate their 'i
General Plan which they will be doing
soon for the Livermore-Amador Valley.
Staff would like to see this plan
serve for the County as well, with
strong recommendation that the Count
follow the type of land use shown.
Planning Commission should reaffirm
the 76,000 ultimate holding capa-
city and ask the City Council to
instruct staff to work out how these
4,200 units or about 14,000 people
be allocated throughout the planning
area. What can be done about ex-
pired tentative maps, refile of
-3-
.~_ , _ .._ T .__..... .. ~ ......... .
