Chairperson Getty addressed density, size of units. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seco~ided by Commissioner <br />Jamieson that the staff report of 1/13/82 be recommended for adoption <br />but changing the word 'permanent' to 25 years concerning 25% of its <br />units reserved for individuals and families qualifying for federal <br />lower income housing assistance as defined by H.U.D. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 2128 was then entered and adopted recommending the <br />staff report on Lower Income Housing be recommended for approval <br />substituting 25 years for the word permanent concerning the federal <br />lower income house g assistance as defined by H.U.D. <br />Discussion of Uses Allowed in the I-G (General Industrial) District <br />Mr. Harris stated the City Council had continued their appeal of the <br />Design Review Board's approval of the Dillingham proposal on Johnson <br />Drive to allow them to propose additional screening of the project. <br />Commissioner Wilson then asked about rezoning of the area. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Wilson that a suggestion be made to City Council that they initiate <br />rezoning as discussed in the staff report inasmuch as the Dillingham <br />project is still under consideration. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution No. 2129 was entered and adopted referring the initiation <br />of a zoning change to the City Council. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. Harris stated that the League of California Cities has sent out <br />their notice to the Planning Commissions concerning the conference in <br />Southern California. He indicated there is a total of $600 in the <br />budget for this. Chairperson Getty indicated that she would like to <br />attend as did Commissioners Doherty and Jamieson. Commissioner Doherty <br />said he would check his calendar and let the Planning Division secre- <br />tary know. <br />Commissioner Wilson addressed parking for the Harris-Vallarino project <br />and if they come in with a concept for 'affordable housing' and Parish <br />agrees to widen his streets he could walk away with the 'affordable <br />housing' exemption. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 12:45 a.m. <br />Respectfu ly submitted, <br />Rober J.
