Bill Gale, 62 West Neal Street, addressed the Commission. He said
he is concerned about the two one acre parcels and the triangular
DeVor Nursery property. Mr. Gale said he agrees with staff regarding
the one acre parcels and recommends that the property be General
Planned Medium Density Residential. He further said that regarding
the triangular piece south of Mohr, the boundary is the City limit
line (not the heavy line shown on the map). He said that Paul
DeVor didn't want to purchase 20 acres in the first place but
bought it because the property owner didn't want to sell an
irregular piece of land. He said the City gets the benefit of
the DeVor property in tax revenue. He said the property owner
wants it to remain Medium Density Residential.
Commissioner Wilson addressed Mr. Gale asking if the property was
originally general planned Medium Density Residential. Mr. Gale
said yes, it was since 1975 and has remained that way since.
The public hearing was closed.
Chairperson Getty said she believed Mr. Gale had valid points
regarding the DeVor property. Commissioner Lindsey indicated
that the two one acre parcels should remain medium density.
Mr. Harris said if the property of DeVor is left Medium Density
Residential you should also not change the Busch property.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Wilson that case GP-82-2, application of the Planning Commission be
withdrawn and that no further action be taken in this regard.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and
Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 2153 was then entered and adopted withdrawing case
GP-82-2.
MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW
Withdrawal of three general plan amendments requested by the Planning
Commission in 1979 (to close file).
Mr. Harris explained that the properties were filed as cases GP-79-22,
23 and 24 and the General Plan on these properties were considered
and changed at the time the overall general plan land use of the
City was considered. He stated that the Planning Commission should
formally withdraw their applications for general plan amendments
on these three cases to close the file.
-24-
. _ _ .. _.._ _..._ __-T--
