MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />4/28/82 <br />Page 2 <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that Item 5b should be continued to 5/26/82 <br />(GP-82-4); that Item 6a will have to be readvertised for <br />June 17, 1982 (RZ-82-6) and that the San Francisco Water <br />Department has requested 6c, RZ-82-8 be continued to 5/26/82 -- <br />a letter of their request will be forthcoming. <br />The Commission concurred with these requests. <br />Chairperson Getty congratulated DeWitt Wilson and Larry Lindsey <br />on their reappointments to the Planning Commission. She <br />mentioned that the City Council desired to have an alternate <br />Planning Commission member. She said she hopes this matter <br />will come back to the Planning Commission for their review. <br />She asked if this is a new trend and precedent for Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Harris indicated that it appears that it is. <br />Chairperson Getty said a new Chairperson should be appointed <br />to take over effective with the June 1982 meeting. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty that Larry Lindsey be made Planning Commission Chairperson. <br />This motion was unanimously approved. <br />DeWitt Wilson made a motion that Commissioner Jamieson be the <br />Vice Chairperson. This motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Lindsey, approved 4-0, with Commission Jamieson abstaining. <br />Commissioner Lindsey then appointed Commissioner Getty Chairperson <br />of the Design Review Board and Gregg Doherty Chairperson of the <br />Board of Adjustment and said on May 26, 1982 he would advise <br />the membership of each of these Boards to be effective in June 1982. <br />Illegal Sign at 531 Main Street - Commissioner Doherty pointed <br />out to staff that this sign is still in place on the front of <br />their building. Mr. Harris reported that this matter has been <br />turned over to the City Attorney for further action. <br />Commissioner Jamieson then inquired about the policy of flag-type <br />streamers running from one building to the other since such is <br />the case at the building on First Street which houses Pleasanton <br />Glass. Mr. Harris indicated that they are not allowed and will <br />contact the Pleasanton Glass people regarding this. <br />-2- 4/28/82 <br />
