Mr. Harris stated that this is something that has not yet been <br />initiated and tonight the Commission should both initiate an ordi- <br />nance amendment to Article 16 of the Ordinance Code and also hold <br />a public hearing. Mr. Harris reviewed the staff report and referred <br />to the attached draft ordinance. <br />Commissioner Getty asked if parallel parking striping would also <br />be changed. Mr. Harris stated that is not proposed. <br />Commissioner Jamieson asked what the width of the new parking stalls <br />would be. Mr. Harris stated they would be 8 feet as opposed to <br />9 feet now. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty, that Article 16 of the Ordinance Code be initiated as <br />proposed in the staff report. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes- None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2200 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of case RZ-82-15 as motioned. <br />The public hearing was opened for discussion regarding the proposed <br />ordinance. <br />Ron Archer, Civil Engineer, 205-E Main Street, Pleasanton, spoke <br />in favor of this ordinance. He stated he felt it was long overdue. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Chairperson <br />Lindsey, recommending that the ordinance be adopted as written. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No. 2201 was then entered and adopted recommending <br />approval of case RZ-82-15, as motioned. <br />-2Q- <br />_.__. _ . _...._ ..._ __.. ...r. _ <br />
