Section S. Uniforms The city shall provide fifty percent (50%) of the initial purchase price of uniforms of those management employees required to wear a uniform. For the classifications of Police Lieutenant, the city shall provide an annual uniform allowance of $520.00. For the classifications of Fire Marshal, Fire Battalion Chief, and Fire Training Officer, the city shall provide a uniform allowance of $312.00. Section 9. Credit Union The city shall provide a voluntary payroll deduction option for those employees who wish to join the city and County Employees Credit Union for the purpose of transacting business with such city and County Employees Credit Union. Section 10. Deferred Compensation The city shall provide a voluntary deferred compensation plan. Section 11. Tuition Reimbursement Upon approval of the city manager, management and confidential employees shall be reimbursed tuition expenses for job related courses successfully completed from accredited colleges or universities. The maximum amount of tuition reimbursement per year shall equal the total tuition levied by Hayward State University for the academic year beginning in the Fall of each year. Section 12. Automobiles and Automobile Allowances 12.1 Automobiles 12.2 The Chief of Police shall be provided an automobile for his unrestricted use provided, however, that he licenses the vehicle and pays for gasoline consumed during personal usage of the vehicle. The Fire Chief and the Assistant City Manager shall be provided a vehicle for both business and limited personal use as defined by the city manager.
