6.7(3) Military Leave <br /> <br />Military leave shall be granted in accordance with the <br />provisions of the law. All employees entitled to military <br />leave shall give the Appointing Authority an opportunity <br />within the limits of military regulations to determine <br />when such leave shall be taken. <br /> <br />6.7 (4) Maternity Leave <br /> <br />The Appointing Authority may grant, upon written request, <br />maternity leave without pay up to six (6) months upon <br />determination that such leave will not adversely effect <br />the needs of the city. <br /> <br />Section 7. Retirement <br /> <br />7.(1) Membership <br /> <br />Ail eligible management and confidential employees shall <br />be members of the Public Employees' Retirement System. <br /> <br />7.2 <br /> <br />Retirement Plans <br /> <br />The specific plans provided management and confidential <br />employees are as follows: <br /> <br />Miscellaneous management and confidential employees shall <br />be provided the PERS 2% @ 60 plan to include the following <br />options: 1959 Survivors Benefit to include Section <br />21382.2 benefits, and credit for unused sick leave. <br /> <br />Public safety management employees shall be provided the <br />PERS 2% @ 50 plan to include the following options: 1959 <br />Survivors Benefit, credit for unused sick leave benefit <br />(except for Police Management personnel), and one highest <br />year compensation. <br /> <br />7.3 Payment - Employee,s Contribution <br /> <br />The City shall pay the employee's contribution to PERS. <br />Each employee may, once during the term of his/her <br />employment with the City, convert the city's payment of <br />his/her PERS contribution to salary.
