Mr. Harris sta ed there has been no contact made but that if <br />an ordinance is initiated there would be proper notification. <br />Commissioner Wilson felt that t ere should be an ordinance controlling video <br />games. He indicated he had no reference as to whether the limit should be <br />one or two machines. Mr. Harris said they hav not been inventoried. Commissioner Getty <br />said she had occasion to go int the 7-11 Store on the weekend and at 6:OOam <br />there were six kids playing the machines. She indicated she had no idea how <br />this would be controlled. Mr. arris said the machines could be unplugged. <br />Mr. Lindsey spoke to the Public Health, Safety and Welfare section of the <br />Ordinance Code. Mr. Swift expl fined that under this section of the Code, <br />the City couldn't refuse to all w the use to go into a specific location <br />and that if you wanted to do soyou would have to regulate the locations by <br />Zoning. <br />Commissioner Getty said she wou~d prefer to regulate video games through <br />Zoning. Commissioner Doherty s~id that perhaps it should be included in both <br />sections of the code. <br />-4- <br />
