He contended that their <br />property was not part of the Ge eral Plan land use change which took place a <br />year or so ago. He said their riginal agreement with the City was that the <br />property would be zoned "0" (Of ice) District. Commissioner Lindsey explained <br />the citizens' review committee nd General Plan land use change. <br />Mr. Finney contended that Resol tion No. 81-186 referring to the General Plan <br />land use change does not includ their property. Mr. Harris asked to see the <br />resolution and pointed out to M Finney that the property was included in the <br />resolution. <br />Commissoner Wilson asked what t e objection was against "High Density" <br />residential. Mr. Finney said t ree appraisals show that it is more valuable <br />as "0" (Off ice) District. <br />Chairperson Lindsey suggested t at Mr. Finney meet with the staff in an attempt <br />to resolve this situation becau e the Planning Commission did not have the <br />records available to them durin the meeting to review the steps which were <br />taken with regard to the proper y owned by the Diocese. <br />Commissioner Doherty spoke to a 1 of the industrial and office area in the <br />north part of Pleasanton and th lack of multi-family dwellings in the City. <br />He said there is probably less han 1% vacancy rate in the City at this time <br />and that this type of housing i needed. He further said that the property must <br />be zoned in conformance with th General Plan. He hoped that Mr. Finney would <br />work closely with staff. Mr. F nney stated he is aware of the housing <br />requirements of the community a d reiterated that according to the documents he <br />has that their property was not included in the General Plan land use change. <br />Commissioner Lindsey asked if M Pearson, the appraiser of the church <br />informed them that industrial d velopment was going on in the north part of <br />town. <br />Mr. Finney said he was advised ~f even the square footage of all such projects. <br />Commissioner Wilson said perhap the appraisal wasn't too realistic because <br />the property has been for sale or a long time. He asked Mr. Finney when the <br />suggested selling price was mad by the appraiser. Mr. Finney said in <br />December 1981. <br />Chairperson Lindsey then stated that if the rest of the Commission concurred <br />this matter would be continued o 9/22/82 for the staff and property owner to work <br />together and come back to a rec mmendation at that time. <br />REPORT ON VIDEO GAMES <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff eport and stated this was continued from the <br />previous Planning Commission me ting for lack of time. <br />Commissioner Getty asked if the e were any comments with regard to Brad Hirst's <br />memorandum of 8/9/82• <br />-3- <br />
