10/27/82
Planning Commission
Minutes
Page 10
Chairperson Lindsey said he would like machines regulated across the
Board. Commissioner Getty concurred. Commissioner Doherty said
he also supported this. He suggested that guidelines be sent out
to existing businesses regardless of zoning.
Mr. Swift reminded the Commission that zoning would still require
the conditional use permit system as now in the ordinance.
Mr. Brad Hirst again spoke to laundromats in apartments, office
buildings, etc. and stated he wanted the same regulations to apply
to everyone regardless of district and asked the proposed remedy
for any violation. Mr. Harris explained.
The Planning Commission then initiated a change into the Ordinance
Code of the City of Pleasanton to incorporate the seven guidelines
proposed in the staff report adding that under the Health and
Safety Ordinance, guidelines be sent to persons and that where
zoning doesn't allow arcades, there can't be more than four video
machines.
TENTATIVE MAPS
Tentative Map Tract 5099
Application of Chang Su-O Lin for tentative subdivision approval for
a 37 unit single-family residential subdivision of a 9.7 acre site
located immediately south of the Arroyo Mocho between Sutter Gate
Avenue and the Southern Pacific Transportation Company railroad
tracks. Zoning for the property is R-1-6500 (Single-family Resi-
dential) District. The Planning Commission may take any action
on this matter consistent with the General Plan. A negative
declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered.
Mr. Harris reviewed the staff report. There were no questions of
staff and the public hearing was opened.
Ted Fairfield, Consulting Civil Engineer, addressed the Commission.
Commissioner Jamieson asked the applicant if this is part of
Tract 4827 and, if so, if the project has growth management approval.
Mr. Harris said it does have approval. Commissioner Jamieson asked
about the location of storm drain. Mr. Fairfield explained it was
built with the first unit of Linvale some years ago and is contained
within the final map and runs along lot lines.
Chairperson Lindsey asked the total number of units in the development.
Mr. Fairfield said he was unsure but thought it was about 150 total.
