4~~~$""~°y CITY of P~.EA~ANTC~N
~~,
~~~° Planning Commission
.o
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
Data February 11, 1976
Time : s:oo P. M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Justice Court
Commissioner Garrigan cited the
problem which developed regarding
the application for construction of
apartment units on Vineyard Avenue,
and the traffic problems which
prompted one citizen to appeal the.
negative declaration published. He
felt that the City should take a
good look at the problems confronted
by the residents in the northeastern
sector of the City.
Commissioner Garrigan. then brought
up the type of advertisement being
exhibited on the former Volkswagen
pole sign at the crossroads of I-580
and I-680 in Pleasanton. He felt
that recently, some of the advertiseā¢
ments have not been in keeping with
the original intent of the Commis-
sion when they approved the use of
this sign. He wondered what could
be done about this situation.
Commissioner Doherty expressed the
same concerns as Commissioner
Garrigan, adding that it was his
understanding that the Tennis Town
proprietors were going to use this
sign for their enterprise.
Chairman Wood, speaking regarding
the code requirements for multiple
residential parking, requested that
staff take a look at it with the
possibility of amending the code to
increase the requirements. Commis-
sioner Shepherd suggested that
possibly the ordinance could require
1-3/4 to 2 parking spaces per unit.
-8-
