CITY of PLEASANTON
a Planning Commission
MINUTES ~OF REGULAR MEETING.
DGte ; April 14, 1976
Time : 8 ~ 53 P.M.
PIOCe; Pleasanton Council Chambers
courts. However, the City can pro-
tect itself by making it clear in
the staff report and as a condition
to the rezoning that sewer connection;
are not presently available nor are
they likely to be available in the
near future.
Mr. Di Manto asked that he be given
the opportunity to rebut Messrs.
Pearson's and Savery's remarks,
after questions from Commission and
staff.
The Public Hearing was then closed.
Secretary Harris explained the
differences between the I-P and
L-I zoning designations. He ex-
plained that the developers request
of Limited Industrial is not a
zoning district but a GP designation
and that it was always the staff's
preference that the 162 acre area
be rezoned I-P (Industrial Park).
Extensive discussion ensued between
staff and Commission members re-
garding traffic circulation, noise
mitigation measures the applicant
would need to meet, and the various
methods in whic:.z this could be
achieved. Another important factor
was possible flooding of the area,
and how design of the flood control
facilities can resolve these pro-
blems.
Regarding the determination of making
a finding that the EIR has been com-
pleted in compliance with CEQA and
State Guidelines, etc., a resolution
was entered and adopted making such
a finding.
-4-
