It was staff's opinion <br />that no serious traffic problems woul~ <br />result from the establishment of this' <br />use. <br />Several phone calls objecting to the <br />use as a church in the proposed loca- <br />tion were received by staff. <br />A large number of people from the <br />church were present. <br />Speaking in favor of the application <br />was Mr. Don Dahlheim, who described <br />reasons for their request and the <br />church's willingness to open up their <br />'facilities to the neighborhood. He <br />jalso described the attempts they have <br />'made to deal with traffic problems <br />which might arise and how they would <br />alleviate it. <br />Those expressing concerns about this <br />application were: <br />Rod Cowan, 3855 Mesa Verde Court. He <br />asked that the City take a look at the <br />traffic situation and possible signal <br />ization at both ends of Valley Trails <br />Drive. <br />Mr. Barry Wiegler, 3598 Wind Cave <br />~~Court. He requested that the Commis- <br />Ision take a close look at the traffic <br />situation. He requested and received <br />a description of the layout of the <br />church plans. He also asked what kin <br />of fencing would be provided around <br />the property. Jean Avakian, Petrifie <br />Forest Court - wished to verify that <br />there would be sufficient parking for <br />the facilities. <br />-6- <br /> <br />
