Indivi- <br />duals speaking in favor of the appli- <br />cation were: <br />Dick Braden, Engineer, MacKay & Somps <br />He indicate3 no problems with the <br />conditions which were added at the <br />.hearing, but deferred final comment <br />to their legal counsel. <br />Mr. Jack Bras, Chairman of the Hos- <br />pital Building Committee then commentE <br />that he hoped there would not be so <br />many obstacles placed before them <br />which would make it impossible for <br />them to realize completion of the <br />project. Mr. Bras further advised <br />the Commissioners that application to <br />the health planning group governing <br />this area, has been made but final <br />approval is pending. Commissioner <br />Jamieson wished to know how new State <br />legislation to control hospital build <br />ing could affect this project. Mr. <br />Bras stated that they are aware of <br />this new proposal, that it is merely <br />a moratorium for several years and <br />would not really affect this project, <br />as there is a need for this and once <br />in operation, within two years would <br />be able to justify its existence. <br />Present occpancy rate at the Livermor <br />facility is almost to the maximum. <br />Regarding development of the office <br />s <br />~d <br /> <br />-2- <br />
