Now, this application for an electronics venture has been applied <br />for, and because of its research and development nature, would give it <br />more of the character of an office use which would be quite compatible <br />with the area and staff is not hesitant to recommend amendment of the <br />General Plan. Later, staff may study this area in the hope of specifi- <br />cally planning the area. <br />Commissioner Jamieson wondered how this would affect the available <br />options if the area is to develop along industrial park uses. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Jack Bras, architect for the job, spoke for the applicant. <br />The Public Hearing was then closed. <br />Commissioner Wood had questions regarding legal timing of this amend- <br />ment and the other applications for variance, design review, etc., <br />for the applicants. <br />It was the general consensus of opinion among the Commissioners that <br />this added industry would provide jobs and they would want to move <br />as expeditious,~as possible on the matter.
