MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION Pleasanton Council Chambers 30 West Angela Street December 8, 1976 8:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chairman Butler called the meeting to order at 9:03 P.M., and the Pledge of Allegiance was then recited. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood and Chairman Butler. Commissioners Absent: None. Staff Members Present: Bob Harris, Don Sooby, Harvey Levine, Recording Secretary Yvonne McFadden. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the October 13, 1976 meeting and the November 3, 1976 meeting were approved as submitted. For the November 10, 1976 minutes, there was an omission of the Roll Call Vote on Page 2 for Case RZ-76-21, relating to the action of the Planning Commission to place into the HPD District approximately 120 acres on the west side of Foothill Road near Bernal Avenue. This correction being noted, the minutes of the November 10, 1976 meeting were approved as corrected. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA Secretary Harris requested the following modifications to the agenda: 5a - RZ-76-22, Mission Hill property. The property owner has requested a continuance to the January 12, 1977 meeting. 5b - UP-76-29, Douglas Huntze - this matter has to be continued until the environmental impact report is submitted, following upholding of the appeal against the negative declaration by City Council on December 6, 1976. 5e - GP-76-6, Thomas K. McManus, continue to January 12, 1977, pending receipt of the environmental impact report, which City Council indicated must be prepared for this application. 7d - Design and location of BART bus shelters. Modify to add review of benches to be donated by the Soroptimist Club. The Commission agreed to the continuances and the review of the benches under 7d. UP-76-30, Earl Adams - application for a conditional use permit to allow the construction and use of a building for commercial service purposes at 3675 Santa Rita Road. The new structure would be located between Santa Rita Road and the existing building on the lot. Zoning for the property is C-S (Commercial Service) District. Secretary Harris reviewed the staff report, requesting some modifications to the conditions for approval - #17, regarding an agreement approved by the City pertaining to maintenance of all landscaping on the entire 2.1 acres owned by the applicant. This was necessary because the existing land- scaping for- their b~~lding at X675 Santa Rita Road is not being maintained
