Conflict of Interest Code <br />Deputy City Attorney Levine presented the Planning Commission's proposed <br />conflict of interest code. He noted that if the Commission adopts this <br />code, it would be sent to the City Council for their approval. <br />He explained Exhibit A and the "disqualification" requirements of <br />Section 600. <br />The Commissioners discussed the Code and entered Resolution No. 1506 <br />adopting the Conflict of Interest Code as presented. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Jamieson <br />Seconded: Wood <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />MATTERS FOR INFORMATION OF COMP~4ISSION. <br />A. Deputy City Attorney Levine explained to the Commissioners certain <br />procedures they should follow, citing the case on the Board of Adjustment <br />when they turned down the Bank of America sign at 6280 ~nlest Las Positas <br />Boulevard. He told them that in a Design Review Board matter, it could <br />not be continued longer than 21 days. After that time, the submittal is <br />deemed approved. It can, however, be sent back for revision, as the Board <br />did this evening. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COA?MISSION ME?~'[BERS. <br />A. Commissioner Wood spoke about the property across from Kaiser Industries <br />on Sunol Boulevard, which appears to look like a junk yard. He requested <br />the City check the matter out and take appropriate action. <br />B. Commissioner Jamieson requested Mr. Sooby to check out a traffic light <br />at the intersection of Stanley Boulevard and First Street. <br />C. Commissioner Doherty indicated that heading north on Stanley, at the <br />traffic light at the intersection of Stanley and First, he had received <br />reports that at that intersection, if one attempts to turn left from <br />First onto Stanley, it is quite easy to find oneself on the wrong side of <br />the island. Could this matter be checked out? Chairman Butler noted <br />that the traffic light timing seems to be off, as the light changes very <br />rapidly. <br />D. The Chairman advised the other members that COVA had scheduled a meeting <br />the following evening at Shannon Center in Dublin. <br />E. Commissioner Shepherd stated that as the Planning Commission represen- <br />tative to the Human Services Commission, he would keep the members closely <br />informed of developments as they occur. At this time, they have adopted <br />b_y-laws and are .functioning as a Commission. <br />-9- <br />
