He felt the Planning Commission has the "leeway" to <br />make the finding of conformance with the General Plan. <br />Upon request of Commissioner Jamieson, Secretary Harris indicated that MacKay <br />Townhouse density, is just under 8 units per acre, Stoneson townhouses, just <br />under 8 units per acre. <br />At this point, Mr. Frost stated that he would file a general plan amendment <br />for the ten-acre parcel on Valley at Northway. <br />Mr. Scheidig stressed that he is not opposed to the development, but that <br />State law requires the appropriate procedures to be followed. <br />Mr. Scheidig recommended the Commission deny, without prejudice, the appli- <br />cation before them in order to allow the developer to file the General Plan <br />amendment. <br />Regarding the negative declaration review, he recommended that the matter <br />be set aside at this time. <br />There were people in the audience waiting to comment on the matter, and <br />their testimony was received. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Frost, for the benefit of those present, gave a brief description of <br />the proposed development. <br />Armand Bergeron, 2511 Heatherlark Circle, spoke. He indicated that six other <br />homeowners were present. He asked that when development of the proposal <br />begins, that those seven units along that section be architecturally treated <br />so as not to experience any inconveniences. He also related some problems <br />which have arisen from the location of the existing tot park in the Garden <br />Court home development. <br />Next, Rick Ray, 5590 Blackbird spoke. He expressed a preference for the <br />lower density designation to be located adjacent to their single family <br />conventional development. <br />Clifford Jensen, Fairfield Court.
