From an aesthetics viewpoint, he felt this left something to be desired. <br />Commissioner Wood asked Mr. Levine whether these signs are needed to enforce <br />the law and Mr. Levine discussed the problems of enforcement. <br />Mr. Sooby suggested that the Commission may wish to transmit this feeling to <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission. He stated that some of the signs do <br />designate policies not covered by Municipal laws. <br />It was decided that staff would send a memo on behalf of the Planning <br />Commission making known their feelings regarding the detraction of aesthetics <br />from such posting of signs in City Parks. <br />B. Chairman Butler advised the other Commissioners that a Mr. Jim Carothers <br />had sent an invitation to the Planning Commission to attend a meeting and <br />to express their view regarding the appropriateness of weapon research at <br />the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.
