PUBLIC HEARINGS - NEW BUSINESS <br />Z-77-116, Vic Lund - application for design approval to construct an <br />addition to an existing building at 164 Main Street. Zoning for the <br />property is O (Office) District and C-O (Civic Overlay) District. <br />Staff recommendation is for approval. <br />The Public Hearing was opened. Mr. Vic Lund was present to answer all <br />questions. He agreed with all conditions for approval. <br />The Public Hearing was closed. <br />Resolution 1560 was entered and adopted recommending to the City Council <br />approval of Z-77-116, subject to all conditions in the staff report. <br />Roll Call Vote <br />Resolution: Doherty <br />Seconded: Wood <br />Ayes: Doherty, Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Abstain: None <br />UP-77-13, Alisal Lodge #321 <br />Review of negative declaration for the construction and use of a masonic <br />lodge to be located at the intersection of Hopyard Road and Valley Trails <br />Drive (South). <br />Secretary Harris described the staff report. This is a modification of <br />the use permit granted to St. Clare's Episcopal Church on a portion of <br />the property. <br />Staff is recommending approval subject to 19 conditions in the staff re- <br />port. <br />Discussion centered on the 100-year flood level and what construction <br />methods would be required to circumvent that possibility. <br />Commissioner Jamieson ascertained that the homes would be approximately <br />80 feet from the site on the proposed lodge. <br />Commissioner Shepherd requested that some wording be inserted to safeguard <br />the residences from the facility, by means of buffering. <br />The Public Hearing was opened on the negative declaration. <br />Mr. Jack Fiorio, representing Alisal Lodge #321 was present. He had no <br />comments to offer. <br />The Public Hearing was closed on the negative declaration. <br />Resolution 1561 was entered and adopted making the finding that the pro- <br />ject would not have an adverse effect on the development and that a nega- <br />tive declaration would be prepared. <br />-6- <br />._ .__ _ _._.__ ..._.__._..r_.__._._~.. _.. ... _...._ ._..___.___.._.. __.._ __, _. . <br />
