MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S INFORMATION
A. Secretary Harris said that Chabot College had received funding for a
energy conservation workshop and had requested that certain agencies in the
Valley designate a representative to serve on a community-input committee.
Since two members were not present, Commissioner Wood indicated that pending
contacting of Commissioners Doherty and Jamieson and the outcome of their
decisions, if no one could be obtained, he would serve as the representative
from Pleasanton's Planning Commission.
B. Deputy City Attorney presented a memorandum which answered some ques-
tions Commissioner Wood had at a previous meeting as to how State law re-
gards two contiguous properties under the same ownership.
MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
A. Chairman Butler advised the Planning Commissioners that an opportunity
had come up for them to field inspect an alternative sewage treatment pro-
cess by irradiation. The plant is in Morgan Hill and those interested in
making the trip should contact Commissioner Jamieson for details.
B. Commissioner Wood asked if anyone knew what use/uses might be locating
in the old post office building on Main Street. No definitive answer was
given.
C. Councilmember Brandes told the Commissioners that the City Council had
initiated activity on the Historical Overlay Landmark Ordinance. A group
of people would be appointed to serve on that committee, and he asked the
Commissioners to forward names of interested and qualified individuals.
D. Deputy City Attorney Harvey Levine told the Commissioners that hours
of his time were spent in attempting to negotiate the sign problem with
Chris Kudriavtseff, owner of the "Woodwork" store on Main Street. He in-
dicated he would attempt to establish a process which would streamline
situations such as those in the future.
ADJOURNMENT
The regular meeting of the Planning Commission was adjourned at 10:03 P.M.
r -
Rober rris, Secretary
-8-
_~____.~._._._~_.__ _... ~_..__ _.._w__.. _.~_ _..._... __, _.._ . ... _ ~ . _ _. _.___ _ _
