r4INUTES <br />PLANNING COru4ISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />December 14, 1977 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />was called to order at 8:15 P.M. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler. <br />Commissioners Absent: Doherty. <br />Staff Members Present: Robert Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Harvey Levine, Deputy City Attorney; <br />Don Sooby, Director of Engineering Services; <br />Yvonne McFadden, Recording Secretary. <br />Councilmembers Present: Ken Mercer, Liaison; Frank Brandes. <br />APPROVAL OF r1INUTES <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of November 9, 1977, were approved as <br />submitted. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Secretary Harris requested the following: 7a, Review of amendment pertaining <br />to general merchandise sales in service stations - move to Item 6e under <br />Public Hearings; Item 5b, GP-77-4, Rudd Gast, continue to February 8, 1978 <br />meeting; Item 5c, PUD-77-7, Robert Myers, continue to January 11, 1978, <br />for completion of EIR; Item 5d, RZ-77-12, Scenic Highways Ordinance, <br />continue to January 11, 1978; Item 6b, add review of negative declaration. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />GP-76-6, Thomas K. McManus <br />Review of an environmental impact report for an approximately 66-acre <br />parcel of land located between the Youth Sports Park and the Arroyo Mocho <br />immediately east of Hopyard Road. <br />Secretary Harris explained that the property has been shown on the General <br />Plan since 1976 as a Park. Prior to that time, it was shown as Medium <br />Density Residential. The applicant is interested in developing the <br />property which would be sewered through the Sunol Treatment Plant. rdorth <br />of the property is the Arroyo Mocho. Staff is recommending denial because <br />they feel the property should be developed as park land for future <br />expansion of the existing Youth Sports Park. <br /> <br />
