CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton was called to order at 8:15 P.M. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Jamieson, Shepherd, Wood, Chairman Butler. Commissioners Absent: Doherty. Staff Members Present: Robert Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development; Harvey Levine, Deputy City Attorney; Don Sooby, Director of Engineering Services; Yvonne McFadden, Recording Secretary. Councilmembers Present: Ken Mercer, Liaison; Frank Brandes. APPROVAL OF r1INUTES The minutes of the regular meeting of November 9, 1977, were approved as submitted. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA Secretary Harris requested the following: 7a, Review of amendment pertaining to general merchandise sales in service stations - move to Item 6e under Public Hearings; Item 5b, GP-77-4, Rudd Gast, continue to February 8, 1978 meeting; Item 5c, PUD-77-7, Robert Myers, continue to January 11, 1978, for completion of EIR; Item 5d, RZ-77-12, Scenic Highways Ordinance, continue to January 11, 1978; Item 6b, add review of negative declaration. OLD BUSINESS GP-76-6, Thomas K. McManus Review of an environmental impact report for an approximately 66-acre parcel of land located between the Youth Sports Park and the Arroyo Mocho immediately east of Hopyard Road. Secretary Harris explained that the property has been shown on the General Plan since 1976 as a Park. Prior to that time, it was shown as Medium Density Residential. The applicant is interested in developing the property which would be sewered through the Sunol Treatment Plant. rdorth of the property is the Arroyo Mocho. Staff is recommending denial because they feel the property should be developed as park land for future expansion of the existing Youth Sports Park.
