MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers <br />30 West Angela Street <br />Special Meeting <br />May 25, 1978 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The special meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:02 P.M., by Chairman Jamieson. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Roll call was as follows: <br />Commissioners Present: Doherty, Leppert, Getty, Wilson, and Chairman <br />Jamieson <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Present: Bob Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Don Sooby, Director of Engineering <br />Services; Harvey Levine, City Attorney, <br />Councilmember Stanley Kephart, Vice Mayor <br />Frank Brandes and Recording Secretary Dawn Bauer. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />RZ-77-16, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone a 13.6 acre parcel of land <br />located on the north side of Stanley Boulevard bounded on the north by the <br />Western Pacific Railroad and on the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />to the C-S (Commercial Service) District or any other zoning district which <br />the City finds to be appropriate and in conformance with the General Plan. <br />Secretary Harris said the property owner had asked for a 60-day continuance. <br />He said staff has no objections. No members of the Commission objected <br />either. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS - NEW BUSINESS <br />Z-78-62, UP-78-11, Tam Investment Co., Inc. <br />Review of negative declaration for a 4.07 acre shopping center to be located <br />at the northeasterly corner of Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue. <br />Application for design approval and conditional use permits for a shopping <br />center to be located on the 4.07 acre site located at the northeasterly <br />corner of Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue. A small portion of the 1.8 acre <br />P (Public and Institutional) District land easterly of the commercial site <br />would be used for parking spaces to serve the shopping center. Zoning for <br />the property is C-C (Central Commercial), O (Office) and P (Public and <br />Institutional) Districts. <br />
