UP-79-2, James Morrill
Application for renewal of a use permit to allow warehouse activities
in a 10,.500 sq. ft. building proposed to be constructed behind the
Nuclear Laundry at 65 Ray Street. Zoning for the property is C-S
(Commercial Service) District.
Mr. Harris explained the staff report.
The public hearing was then opened.
James Morrill, the applicant addressed the Commission stating he con-
curred with the staff report. Fred Holster, 4050 Walnut Drive spoke
stating he was not opposed but did have some questions which he would
like answered. These questions were answered to Mr. Holster's satis-
faction by the staff and applicant.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Doherty made a motion to approve UP-79-2 and that the
findings for granting this use permit can be made subject to the con-
ditions shown on the staff report. Commissioner Getty seconded this
motion.
Resolution 1714 was then entered and adopted approving UP-79-2.
Roll Call Vote
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Leppert, Getty, Wilson and Chairman Jamieson
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
PUD-78-5, Chamberlain Group
Application for development plan approval for a 75 lot single family
residential subdivision on a 65 acre site located at the eastern end of
Arbor Drive in Vintage Hills. The site is zoned PUD (Planned Unit
Development-Medium Density Residential) District.
Mr. Harris explained the staff report and referred to the plan put on the
wall for perusal of the Commissioners and audience. He stated this plan
is a compromise plan incorporating some of the changes previously
suggested. He addressed the increase width in the lots from 60 to 75
feet and pads to 7500 sq. ft. He stated the applicant reduced the number
of lots from 82 to 75. He stated they extended the fill area to include
more lots and put two additional lots on the north side of Crellin which
was not in the original plan and that the lot size is better and that the
staff doesn't have any problem with the design of the subdivision. He
stated this development to a large extent, is less obtrusive than the
other parts of Vintage Hills. He stated the applicant is still including
a cabana club. Mr. Harris stated there is a water pressure study being
done and the City will not be saddled with the expense of pumps.
The public hearing was opened.
-9-
